DIY paracord bracelet

DIY paracord bracelet

I recently got some interest in my paracord diy kits so decided to update the design to feature one of these clips. Making a paracord bracelet is not just for decoration and embellishment but this cord bracelet could even perhaps save your life!

Here are some ways that paracord could save your life and because this bracelet is made up of 1x 7foot (2.13metree) piece it could be extra useful.

  1. Build an emergency shelter when the weather turns from “pleasant hike” to “the moors are trying to kill me”.
  2. Replace a snapped boot lace halfway through a mountain trek.
  3. Make a tourniquet in a genuine survival situation.
  4. Secure food out of reach of animals who believe your backpack is a community buffet.
  5. Create a clothesline so your socks stop smelling like medieval warfare.
  6. Lash branches together into a stretcher for an injured friend.
  7. Repair a broken backpack strap before gravity claims all your possessions.
  8. Improvise a fishing line if you know what you’re doing and the fish are feeling cooperative.
  9. Tie down gear to a vehicle roof after discovering “that’ll probably hold” was optimistic.
  10. Make a rescue line to help someone across a stream.
  11. Replace a belt after eating too much campsite

  1. Hang a lantern in camp without balancing it on a suspiciously flammable stump.
  2. Use the inner strands as sewing thread for emergency clothing repairs.
  3. Secure splints to stabilise an injured limb.
  4. Create trip lines or perimeter alarms in wilderness camps.
  5. Keep a tent together after a pole snaps in dramatic fashion.
  6. Tie your canoe to shore before it quietly emigrates downstream.
  7. Fashion a dog lead after your dog decides freedom is its true calling.
  8. Use it as an emergency zip pull after your coat gives up during winter.
  9. Strap gear to your bike when your pannier fails miles from civilisation.
  10. Make a bow drill set for fire-starting if you enjoy difficult hobbies.
  11. Lower supplies down a cliff or steep incline more safely.
  12. Keep a car boot shut with dignity… or at least with tension.
  13. Replace a broken hammock suspension line before learning about gravity firsthand.
  14. Build a snare trap in a true survival scenario.
  15. Keep doors shut during storms when the latch breaks.
  16. Improvise handcuffs if you suddenly become either a bounty hunter or deeply unpopular.
  17. Make a sling for carrying an injured arm.
  18. Rescue your sunglasses from a lake after attaching a “temporary” cord retainer.
  19. Tie yourself to a tree in extreme winds so you don’t become local news.
  20. Secure medical supplies into organised bundles.
  21. Make a tactical bracelet that secretly says, “I watch survival videos at 2am.”
  22. Pull a stuck mate out of mud while both of you regret your shortcut.
  23. Create a tow line for lightweight emergency hauling.
  24. Stop trousers falling down during a survival crisis, preserving morale and public decency simultaneously.
  25. Rig up an emergency curtain in a van, bunker, or deeply questionable Airbnb.
  26. Hang food around your campsite
  27. Replace a broken drawstring in seconds.
  28. Make an improvised snowshoe binding.
  29. Distract yourself for hours learning knots instead of dealing with your actual problems.

How chatgpt helped save me 2hrs

Chat gpt helped me a load! i uploaded this hand drawn illustration to chat gpt and gave this simple instruction:

“clean up this image and turn pencil into black pen line work.“

i was so surprised and impressed when after a few minutes this was presented back to me.
