Design shops to drool over

Design shops to drool over

A perfect design shop has something for everyone, at different budget levels, for different activities. They inspire us to appreciate clever, nostalgic or quality design and manufacturing. Sometimes they are called Concept store, design shop, museum shops or gift stores. There are some great small independent design stores and some of them have a specific focus such as furniture, kitchen wear or books.

A perfect design shop is one that you can lose hours in browsing around and discovering new things you may never have seen before.

A perfect design shop is one that you find old favourite design icons mixed with unique and local designs.

A perfect design shop is one that has comfy chairs to sit on whilst pondering which items to buy.

A perfect design shop smells nice. It sells beautiful scented candles, room sprays and purfumes.

Here is my list of favourite design shops around the world.

The Tate Modern Shop

This is one of my favourite design shops in london. Its huge. There is a big focus on books in this shop but there is also a wide range of stationery and other homewears.

 Luna and Curious

This shop is at the historic Calvert Ave in London's hip Shoreditch area. Its a pretty small shop set in a listed building. Although it is small it is highly curated and features a powerhouse of amazing on-trend brands and products from locally and around the world. There is a scandi leaning and a fair amount of toys and kidswear.
