Colourful architectural buildings to inspire any bag designer

As a designer i have always been attracted to colour and how, when it is used in conjunction with beautiful clean shapes and form, can give an object or a building a whole different vibe. Here are some inspirational colourful buildings that i have come across over the years. I hope one day to visit some of them.

This is the Greater Refuge Temple Church in Harlem New York City. If you want to visit it, it is a functioning church located at 2081 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY 10027.

site of irreversible destiny yoro park

Set in one corner of Yoro Park, famous for the Yoro waterfall, is a fantastic theme park. Here artist Shusaku Arakawa and poet Madeline Gins realized their bold and reckless 30-year vision with the Site of Reversible Destiny—Yoro Park. Spreading across about 18,000 square meters, the site consists of a main pavilion called the Critical Resemblance House and the vast bowl-like Elliptical Field. Tan Teng Niah house

Set in Little India in Singapore,  this colourful ancient building is called Tan Teng Niah house. It’s an eight-room Chinese Villa with a history dating back to 1900. As one of the last remaining Chinese Villas in Singapore, it’s an impressive piece of history and architecture. Read more about some must visit locations in Singapore in this article here

This is the Gold Crest Motel Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, c. 1967. It actually still exists and you can book into it for $47 per night. 

Amsterdam architecture and Damrak canal, Netherlands.

This image shows a row of tall deeply crimson toned coloured buildings in Amsterdam - the Damrak canal in the Netherlands. The neat rows of buildings echoed by the neat rows of windows makes this architecture stand out.

SEE THE RAINBOW HUED OLD POLICE STATION (MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS) 
Another one from vibrant tropical Singapore, The Old Hill Street Police Station, which is now used as office space. Its iconic windows were painted in shades of the rainbow after it was restored in December 1997.
