Charm bombing (noun): A contemporary creative trend characterised by the intentional attachment of numerous small trinkets, charms, or keyrings to everyday objects for decorative or expressive purposes.
Charm bombing transforms ordinary items into vibrant, personalised statements by layering them with an abundance of tiny adornments. Practitioners embellish everything from clothing and accessories to bags, socks, hats, footwear, phone cases, and even water bottles. The result is a playful, maximalist aesthetic that celebrates individuality, creativity, and the joy of turning simple belongings into miniature curated collections.

Haricot Vert is an inspiring instagram account that i absolutely love. I believe their charms are cut out from old books and magazines and then turned into charms using resin. This allows the motifs to be so cute and well defined and also the artists selects a really nice range of items to turn into her collections. The aesthetic is slightly vintage mixed with modern day kitsch.

Nostalgia meets high fashion in these unique creations hand curated and beautifully hand made.

This avant-garde outfit is from the Comme des Garçons Spring/Summer 2018 collection, designed by the pioneering Rei Kawakubo. The collection's overarching theme was "multi-dimensional graffiti," which aimed to merge different eras and concepts into complex, voluminous silhouettes. The looks drew inspiration from diverse fantasies, including angels, medieval paintings, and toys. The intricate, toy-adorned neckpieces featured in the show, which incorporate items such as Hello Kitty figures and various plastic novelties, were created as accessories by hair and make-up artist Julien d'Ys to complement the fantastical theme.
