Neon is the chosen colour palette for our next range of bags, and to get inspired I went to visit the iconic fashion concept store in London, Dover Street Market. Here are some of the neon inspiration I spotted there last week.
From apparel to footwear and accessories I saw neon in full colour, accents as well as in trims and details. Merchandised alongside more neutral tones the neon bags such as this Bottega bag below really stands out in neon yellow leather.
These Loewe sheep skin mules were in iridescent bright orange and really stood out against the pastels and blue tones of the store. I really wanted these! The neon which is traditionally thought of in a sporty context, is taken into a lush wintery warm fabric like sheepskin. The combination of bright summery colours into a winter / autumn item is definitely a 2022 spin on neon.
Even the store display incorporated neon pops to offset the products. Here is an art display of the sunglasses in the store in the basement by set designer and artist Gary Card. Gary Card is known for his bright, high octane sets for designer brands such as Hermès, Comme Des Garçons, Balenciaga, Kenzo and Moschino.
The neon tones range from orange and green to pink and yellow. These were paired with black to make them stand out even more.
The Balenciaga pump above in neon yellow is made from 3D printed rubber and goes for £2390. 😧 It is absolutely amazing but i am not sure whether i could wear it! Maybe one for Lady Gaga.
The amazing tule dresses by Molly Goddard were exquisite on the top floor, any disco princess' dream dress!
This all sums up our guess that neons would be a strong contender for our next bag range. Stay alert to see more neon colours hit the high street in the coming months. For cycling and Goodordering this is great as it is extra high vis and extra safe on the roads.
